About us
Solutions for the medical device, biomedical, pharmaceutical and food industries
Founded in the year 2010, MCI has evolved to become a leading reference in the national market. From its inception in San Rafael de Alajuela, Costa Rica, MCI has played a crucial role in ensuring the quality of production processes for the manufacturing industry of medical devices, the biomedical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
In our early years, we set out to create a company that not only met regulatory requirements and international standards but also stood out for its proactive approach to quality and customer satisfaction. This commitment led us to obtain the accreditation from International Accreditation Service (IAS) ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, thus establishing a robust Quality Management System that supports every aspect of our operations.
In 2023 MCI joined the AGQ Labs Group, a multinational in the ICT sector (testing, inspection & certification) with laboratories in the United States, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Morocco, Chile, Peru, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.

Social and environmental responsibility
On the path to excellence, we have adopted sustainable and responsible practices. The transition from a paper-based management system to a fully digital and electronic one, the use of solar panels supplying 50% of our electrical consumption, recycling campaigns, and efficiency measures in water usage, among many others, are testimonies to our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
